I’ve always loved mythology. When I was very young I read a marvelous old (1930’s?) book called Peter and Prue, or The Two Runaways, which was all about Greek mythology. I must have been familiar with if even before then somehow, because the only parts of the book that were kind of strange were the parts about Norse mythology (which never really grabbed me anyways). When I got to college, I eventually found my way to the Classics department and became a Classics major. Here was little me, the oldest kid in the family, the first one to leave the nest, hours away from home and from anything familiar. I was learning Latin, and doing all right with it, and trying to learn Greek, and not doing so well. I was lonely and stressed – but I had my mythology stories. They were comforting, familiar tales, something I could rely on in a strange new world. I read Ovid’s Metamorphoses in Latin, loving the syllables as they rolled around on my tongue and in my brain. It was a fresh new look at my beloved old friends.
I’ve always been drawn to humorous romance, the goofier the story, the better. I figured this story would be perfect for a fundraiser celebrating the heart and all its quirks. What better way to nurture the heart than to write a story about the goddess of Love? A Slightly Different Perfect is the story of a mousy fifth grade teacher, Trisha Gillespie, who gets turned into the goddess of love Aphrodite. In her new incarnation, she learns a valuable lesson about the price and the rewards of true love.
I’d be very pleased if you’d visit me at my website, www.sylviashults.com, or become a fan of my Facebook page, which I’ve called Sparkleheart. I hope you enjoy A Slightly Different Perfect, and I do appreciate your support of the American Heart Association. See, my mom’s got heart disease – she had a heart attack a couple of years ago and had to have a stent put in – so this really is a cause that I support for personal reasons. Enjoy the story, support the AHA, and Goddess bless.

It's here -- King's Gambit
Calle had never been important to others. Maybe that was why he fell for Mosca, the most unobtainable person he’d ever met. When Mosca chose him to be his personal guard he should have suspected something was off. No one chose him for anything. But this time was different. Very different.
Mosca’s world was a dangerous one, full of deceit and treachery. He told Calle he trusted him and made Calle his personal guard. But living one step away from betrayal and falling in love with the man changed both of their lives. For good.

Thanks for hosting me on the blog tour for All Romance eBooks’ (ARe) “28 Days of Heart” campaign! I’m thrilled to be one of the authors who donated sexy, romantic stories for this American Heart Association fundraiser. Heart disease is the #1 killer of woman, and due to Valentine’s Day, February has long been associated with matters of the heart. So this month is the perfect time to treat yourself to ARe’s sensual stories that will warm your heart (and other body parts!), while raising vital funds.
Love Unleashed is my contribution to ARe’s 28 Days of Heart: . A sexy contemporary, the story features an estranged couple who are reunited with the help of a stray dog. As with all of my “hot, humorous romances”, Love Unleashed’s canine character is a Chinese crested hairless dog.
Charlie, the “crestie” in Love Unleashed, is a homeless dog who’s fostered by the radio DJ hero as part of his plan to woo back his former lover, an animal shelter director. The little pooch wrangles his way into the hero’s heart while playing matchmaker to the couple. The idea behind Love Unleashed began when a friend complained that her boyfriend wasn’t wild enough in bed. (Her exact words were: “Gentle lovemaking is nice, but sometimes you just want to f*ck.”) When my story’s hero finally unleashes his inner sexy beast, the couple gets a second chance at their happily ever after – along with some seriously hot sex!
Here’s the blurb for Love Unleashed.

Love Unleashed blurb:
His best laid plans...
DJ “Rabid Ron” Hart has a grand scheme to win back the woman he loves. It involves an animal adoption fair, a goofy hairless dog named Charlie and an offer she can’t refuse.
Her hidden desires...
Cara Wilson has fantasies she’s never admitted, and her ex-boyfriend still features in her erotic dreams. If only he didn’t keep his bad-boy urges so tightly leashed.
Tonight they’ll learn that winning sometimes takes losing control.

Guest Blog for 28 Days of Heart: K.F. Zuzulo
When I think how wonderful All Romance eBooks campaign is—to raise money and awareness of heart disease in women through the 28 Days of Heart—I cringe. I cringe because I wasn’t going to do it. I had enough writing to do, deadlines to meet, genies to unleash, scenes to unfold, and character clothing to toss aside. But the omens that brush past us everyday were about to come in for a direct hit. In July, I’d received the first email from ARe about the campaign. But as with so many visitors to the inbox…DELETE. I hadn’t even noted the organization that was to benefit.
In October, my husband and I took our kids to Ireland for a large family wedding. The emotions, stories, and adventures were unforgettable. Part of that emotion was remembering my Aunt Tina, who would have been at the wedding, but had died the previous Christmas Eve of a heart attack. We raised a glass as well to my maternal grandmother, who had died of a heart attack at 73 years old. And in a final reminder of the fragile strength of a woman’s heart, I learned that same week that my best friend had suffered a heart attack at 45 years old.
I think you probably know what’s coming next, though, at the time, I didn’t. When I got back to work the second week in October, I opened another e-mail from ARe. This time, I read what charity would benefit from the “uncompensated” efforts of the participating authors. It was the American Heart Association.
I worked like a genie flying a carpet in a hurricane and turned in my novella two weeks later, on the last day for submissions. Enough magic remained that my story was selected to be a part of the 28 days and will be released on February 24th.
Granny Kelly would be proud. She used to smooth on some lipstick on her way out the door so Granddad wouldn’t see and be jealous. I know she would love this tale. Check it out. Match Ramsey rises to the occasion of ARe’s 28 Days of Heart campaign … and rises in proximity of a certain alluring teacher-turned-Realtor named Angeline Delaire. Angels & Genies is my fourth genie romance but the first to introduce Match and his surfer-dude angel sidekick Miguel. Together, they seek to block the entrance of evil jinni Iblis to the earthly realm. Angeline holds the key to the sought portal. The only hint I’ll give is—as any Realtor will tell you—it’s all about location, location, location.
You can learn more about the author, her books, and the race of jinn at www.kfzuzulo.com. Best Wishes!

Women and Sports
My name is Tilly Greene, an erotic romance author, and when I lived abroad, the way I found to stop being the foreigner and carry on over the water cooler type of conversation was through sports. Of course, it helped that I liked sports, period, but to delve into new ones was a challenge.
You see, football, baseball, tennis, ice hockey, and volley (beach and indoor)...those were the sporting events I went to and enjoyed. A good selection, unfortunately none of them were in England. Wait, I know what you're thinking: "They play football in England," and yes, they do, but unlike the rest of the world, Americans call is soccer, and that sport wasn't on my radar. The other sport the cutie and our friends liked was F1 racing. In America, there's NASCAR, and the only thing these two have in common is fast cars. I never could get into cricket, but I do like rugby. Through perseverance and after making some mistakes, I figured these new to me sports out, and I have added them to my roster. It means I can talk to men and women in a variety of countries about their nation's sport - it's a great ice breaker for those events I sometimes attend as a corporate wife.
The backlash for enjoying sport and being a writer is that they often show up in my stories. And, as an erotic romance author, the players and their unique uniforms inspire me to create elaborate back stories during lengthy timeouts. I've written about heroes that play ice hockey, rugby, F1 racing, and with And She Scores, it's (American) football. Pre-season is about to begin and, defensive end and captain, Patrick Conway, is returning from what could've been a career-ending injury. Sarah Winters, focused on making a career as a respected reporter in an all-male sport, is about to conduct his first interview. Did I mention they used to date? Were driven apart by lies? Still cared for each other?
Well, what could possibly happen between these two, while at a major arena, with a ton of people around them? To find out, you'll need to visit All Romance or OmniLit, and pick a copy of And She Scores.

Now Available: GPS (ARe 28 Days of Heart)
Everybody needs a nudge in the right direction sometimes. For a guy like Cale Durbin, alone and not looking forward to burning off a birthday with a blind date, the Bat Signal shining down on the home of the man of his dreams would be a big help. Instead, he's gifted with a quirky GPS device with a mind (?) of its own. Where is Cale going? You can find out on February 21 when GPS releases through the All Romance 28 Days of Heart celebration. GPS is an erotic romance featuring explicit male on male lovin'. ;-)Proceeds from the sale of GPS are donated to the American Heart Association in conjunction with their Wear RED campaign to raise awareness of heart disease among women. Usually when we think of women and overcoming illness, the discussion turns toward breast or ovarian cancer. Perhaps sometimes we lose focus and don't realize that good heart health is equally important. We only have one, after all, and we should take care of it. :)
Heart disease awareness is a cause close to my, er, heart as well. Both of my parents lost their fathers to heart attacks, and in both instances neither man lived to see 60. Granted, on my father's side there had been a history of heart problems among the men (up through his line, several men succumbed in their 50s and 60s to heart trouble), yet it's because of associations like the AHA that we learn things that break these cycles brought on by genetic patterns. As I head into my 40s, I don't want to worry about having my life cut short by something that could have been prevented.
For just two dollars (maybe more if you check out the other titles available at ARe), you can help a great cause and read a hot story that gets your heart pumping. Hope you enjoy it!

Mine will be released February 20th, TIMELESS VOYAGE. With the purchase of Timeless Voyage and any of the 28 Days of Heart Ebooks, all proceeds benefit the American Heart Association. As you read about the strong hearted warrior woman, Anwen, remember you are a warrior as well as your purchase helps AHA battle heart disease.
Love isn’t bound by the limits of time…
Off the mist shrouded coast of Ireland, a pagan lady-pirate, Anwen, captures the enemy, a Roman, Titus Rufius Kaeso. The Celtic warrior woman presses her hard iron dagger against Kaeso’s throat, but her arm does not obey the will to slay him. From time out of mind, memories of fated lovers, druids, and sacrifice, stay her hand. Kaeso is also captivated by dreams of the woman he loved in a previous life, the mirror image of Anwen. But in this lifetime they are foes, Roman and Celt. Can Anwen and Kaeso steer their timeless voyage to a happy destiny or will they be robbed of love once more.
Excerpt:
“I shall sing to you, Ovid's poem, Amores.” In a tone muted with lust he recited, “‘Hair parted along her ivory neck.’”
Lifting one hand, he brushed his fingers down the back of her smooth neck in feathery strokes. Her skin was so warm and soft. Moving his hand to her face, he traced the outline of her lips. He pressed his lips against hers, gently covering her wet, warm mouth. As he slipped his fingers down her arm, he rested his other hand on her waist, drawing her close. Bodies pressed together, their feet moving in small rhythmic steps, they glided across the sand, dancing to the roar of rushing, white-foamed waves.

On the 17th of February my Story Vanilla with Extra Nuts is released. This is the blurb:She was just a vanilla girl until she found her perfect toppings…
Megan was slowly falling in love with Adam and was devastated to hear he was also sleeping with a man behind her back. When she confronts Adam she finds her lust for him over-riding her reticence.
When she makes a secret fantasy come true and goes to bed with both Adam and his lover at the same time, vanilla Megan has to decide. Can she come to terms with this unusual relationship?
And here’s a hot excerpt to get your heart pumping which will keep it nice and healthy.
“Before I could protest, Simon was in the room and shutting the door behind him. He seemed even bigger now than I remembered him and I felt threatened by his presence.
“Oh, hey, I see you’ve started without me. Give me a moment and I’ll catch up.”
I was so stunned as he threw off his black jacket and undid his tie that I didn’t say a word until he had his crisp white shirt unbuttoned to the navel.
“Wait, stop, what are you doing?”
“Undressing,” he replied as he finished the last button and I was treated to the sight of his hard chest as he pushed the white material off his shoulders. For a moment all I could think about was tracing my hands over his body.
“But, I mean, well, don’t we have to talk first?”
Simon looked at Adam and they both shrugged in unison.
“I think actions are louder than words,” Adam said and kissed the nape of my neck. “We can talk later.”
I looked at Adam and scrunched my brows so he would know I was pissed off. He just kissed me in the middle of my forehead, then whispered in my ear, “Trust me, darling, it’s going to work out all right, just trust me.”
When I looked up again, Simon was naked. I gulped as I let my eyes trace the length and breadth of his delicious, hard body. There was no doubting I wanted to taste him and feel his body against mine. I looked up into his dark brown eyes and he smiled, willing me to be okay with this. I could see he was nervous too, despite his striptease bravado. I smiled back then and thought, “What the hell?” If we couldn’t work things out after we fucked, well, at least I would have the memories of a fantasy come true to keep me warm at night.
“Are you sure you’re okay with this?” he asked as he walked over to my side of the bed. “I’ll go if you don’t want me here.” Part of me wanted him to go, but it really was a tiny fraction of the whole. My body was desperate to feel his bulk pressed against my soft, giving curves.
“I’m okay, I want this,” I said, then followed it up quickly with, “I think I do anyway.”
“That’s good enough for me,” he said and leaned in to kiss me. You know as well as I do that everyone kisses in a different way. Adam is a very smooth, very subtle kisser. He starts off slowly and builds up to a crescendo. Simon is not like that at all. His kisses are aggressive and hungry and leave you gasping for breath after only a matter of seconds.
I noticed, once I had become accustomed to Simon’s kissing, that Adam’s lips were on my neck again. I don’t think I can find the right words to convey to you the sheer excitement that two pairs of lips on your body brings. A kiss is a thrill but two kisses at the same time from two different people is pure ecstasy. I closed my eyes and the two pairs of lips began to roam. I could tell who was kissing where, but after a while I just didn’t care. “
Now you can benefit other hearts by buying a copy of this book or any of the others in the 28 days of Heart Campaign where all the profits go to the American Heart Association.
Take care and keep healthy!
Love,
Victoria Blisse

BLURB:
Adam Blue is destined to be a rockstar. As lead singer of Viral Blue, he knows it’s just a matter of time before he’s on his way to fame and fortune. If he can just get a studio to sign his band and get his songs on the radio, he knows he’ll make it big.
When they land a spot onstage at a popular nightclub downtown, Adam hopes to get noticed. But he doesn’t expect to meet sexy Paolo Raucci, owner of Raucci Entertainment, a local studio looking for fresh talent. Paol likes Adam’s sound and, more importantly, likes Adam, as well.
But when Paol brings the band into the studio, his partner Lewis isn’t quite as taken with Adam’s rockstar attitude. Lewis doesn’t want to sign the band until Adam proves he’s willing to work. Unfortunately, the band takes second priority to Adam’s growing interest Paol … an interest that has nothing to do with his musical career.
The stress of recording their first studio album threatens to tear the band apart, and Adam’s ego further drives a wedge between the members of Viral Blue. Paol does his best to keep the band together, but ultimately it’s Adam’s call.
Adam wants it all ~ his band, his first record, and his new lover. Now that his dreams are finally within reach, what does he have to do to make them come true?

Guest Blog for 28 Days of Heart: Jackie Kessler
Blurb: Where can an angel find comfort? A lonely banished angel sits outside the gates of Paradise, lamenting the joy she has lost. When she is joined by a fallen archangel, she learns that one doesn't need to be in Heaven to experience bliss.
Hi! I’m Jackie Kessler, and I like to write about demons and angels, among other things. When I heard about the 28 Days of Heart, and that all proceeds would be going to the American Heart Association, I knew I wanted to write a Hell story for it, one that was about connection, and possibly even redemption.
The angel called Angel first appears in my second book, THE ROAD TO HELL, but you don’t need to read it to understand why Angel is alone outside the gates of Paradise...or why she feels so horribly alone. And you don’t need to read the first book, HELL’S BELLES, to know who the archangel is that she meets. (But of course, I hope you **will** read the books!)
“Hell’s Angel” is somewhat of a departure from the Hell on Earth series in that it’s not humorous, it’s not written in first person, and it’s not about the former succubus Jezebel. Whether you’re new to Hell on Earth or if you’ve read all the books and novellas, I think you’ll enjoy the story.
Books and stories by Jackie Kessler:
Hell on Earth series:
Hell’s Belles
The Road to Hell
“A Hell of a Time,” Eternal Lover
Hotter than Hell (mass-market reissue coming September 2010)
“When Hell Comes Calling,” Lilith Unbound
“Hell Is Where the Heart Is,” A Red Hot Valentine’s Day
“Hell’s Angel,” 28 Days of Heart
“Hell Bound,” Those Who Fight Monsters (coming fall 2010)
Hell to Pay (date TBA)
“Hell’s Fury,” Mammoth Book of Hot Romance (date TBA)
